About the Speaker, Dr Jo Jenson
Dr Jenson commenced her career as a medical receptionist in the 1970s when the tools of the trade were a manual typewriter and a PABX switchboard. Jo built her career as a professional EA and has had the privilege of working directly with Chairmen, leading entrepreneurs such as Lindsay Fox and the former Victorian State Treasurer, The Hon Alan Stockdale. During her career, Jo has witnessed office administration being modernised through the introduction of technology.
Jo is passionate about supporting individuals to develop their capabilities, to achieve higher levels of excellence and satisfaction in their careers. She is a dynamic trainer who communicates with a no-nonsense approach and always captivates her audiences with her extensive knowledge and experience. Her approach and methods are often described as innovative, challenging and highly interactive, and she understands that those who inspire others and build trust, credibility and staff loyalty, are the envy of others.

Career planning involves a continuous process of understanding oneself, setting career goals, revising skills and searching for the right career options. Understanding this process will enable you to focus on where you want to be in life professionally, by identifying short-term and long-term goals. Jo will also share with us how various career options should be explored and the opportunities available to build your career. A good career planning process will assist you as an individual to grow in your professional career. In this 30-minute presentation, the three takeaways are:
