Introducing AIOP Queensland, Brisbane Branch Finance Officer

Lisa Broadbent

Q1. How long have you been involved in AIOP? Since January 2010

Q2. How did you find out about AIOP? From one of the EA's at my work who was a committee member.

Q3 Did you join AIOP straight away or did you wait? Not straight away - I wanted to see what it was all about first so attended a few monthly events.  I don't know why I waited so long to join and now I'm part of the committee!

Q4. Where do you see the Office Professional role going in the future? The role of the Office Professional is so important in our current climate.  The modern Office Professional is and will continue to be an important core member of the office environment providing support and being a trusted advisor.

Q5. What is the most challenging part of being an Office Professional? Making sure I learn something new every day and pass on my knowledge to others.  Also being able to multitask comes in very handy!!

Q6. What is your current job and how long have you been doing it? Executive Assistant at Parsons Brinckerhoff for 3½ years

Q7. What would you like to see AIOP bringing to its members? I'd like to see AIOP continue to be an important part of personal and career development for all office professionals.  A great forum to meet, chat and to learn.

Welcome to the second half of 2010.  July will see many AIOP Qld members leave their warm winter days to attend the National Conference in Hobart, Tasmania.  It should be a great trip and will provide us with many opportunities to network and share ideas with our interstate peers.

I look forward to mingling with all the members who are attending the conference.

If you haven’t registered, hurry as registration closes soon!

Kind regards
