The Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP) NT first event held on Thursday 18th January kicked off with a major announcement. AIOP NT has launched the 2018 Northern Territory Office Professional of the Year Awards.

A membership organisation, AIOP is the only national body for Office Professionals in Australia.

“AIOP is open to all Office Professionals from entry level to executive level. You may be a receptionist starting out in your career or a CEO or Business Owner; AIOP represents everyone who works in an office” Lily North, Vice President.

The awards are open to all NT Residents and non-members of AIOP. There are two categories available:
– NT Office Professional of the Year; and
– NT Up and Comer Office Professional of the Year.

“We are really proud to be able to offer this opportunity to NT Office Professionals.” Christine Heness, President.

“For us, these awards are about recognising the great work being done by Office Professionals in the NT, we would encourage anyone who works in an office to nominate themselves or a colleague” Lily North, Vice President.

The winners of the Inaugural Office Professional Awards will be announced at the AIOP Breakfast on Friday 4th May at Skycity Casino. Each year AIOP hosts the Annual Office Professionals Breakfast which coincides with National Office Professionals Day in May.

This year’s theme is “Strength in our Connections”. “If there is one thing we can rely on in the Territory, is the strength in our connections; it’s important to people and even more so to business” Lily said.

Tickets for this special event are now open. “Last year we had over 215 people attend so we suggest you book early to avoid missing out” Christine said.
