Celebrated 60 Years of Excellence with Seminar and Networking Event 

AIOP formally commemorated its 60th anniversary marking six decades of excellence, growth, collaboration and empowering office professionals on the 28 July 2023.  Members came together from around the country to honour our achievements and acknowledge our new Honorary Life Members and to hear from three fantastic presenters, Angela Wilson, Nick Ginsburg, and Helen Monument who shared their insights and experiences.                                             


      

In her opening remarks the AIOP National President Heather Batchelor FAIOP said, AIOP Board Members, guests travelled from all over Australia to be with us. Our 2023 Office Professional of the Year, Rachel Hall along with our Rising Star, Angela Wilson and our Honorary Life Members are also here with us today in person or online.

Welcome, we are thrilled to gather here today, uniting educators, advocates, and professionals from diverse backgrounds who share a common passion for creating a positive impact in the world of Office Professionals. I can’t wait to hear from our speakers, we will explore innovative ideas, best practices, and effective strategies that will equip us to become powerful advocates and develop strong networks. Thank you for being a part of this incredible experience!   Karstens' facilities were outstanding, and Somerset Event Management did a great job supporting AIOP. We thank them.

The theme for the event was "Empowering the Office Professional - through education, networking, and advocacy.The three expert presenters, Angela Wilson, Nick Ginsburg, and Helen Monument shared their insights and experiences with you. They provided valuable information on the latest industry trends, skills, and knowledge you need to succeed in your role.

       Guest Speakers  

Angela Wilson is considered one of the brightest minds in career transition, career coaching and mentoring today. Now a number 1 best-selling author, well-respected speaker, educator, award winning coach and consultant on all things careers and transitions.  ​Angela is the founder of Career Design Studio, a global transitional journey for women who have experienced an unexpected change in their career. Her signature program is designed for women to discover their next chapter and once and for all uncover the meaning and purpose of life.   ​Angela’s authenticity, honesty and down-to-earth style are her greatest assets. She has the ability to leave you feeling inspired, challenged and clear about your next step on your career journey.   Angela was the Career Counsellor at Jobs Victoria. She was the Rising Star Winner of the AIOP Administrative Award of Excellence 2023 partnering with Drake International. 

Nick Ginsburg is a Keynote Speaker, Founder of The Admin Collective, and the Executive Assistant to the Provost and Senior Vice-President at Monash University. He is an avid believer that sharing knowledge is the key to success.   
Mental well-being is something he is incredibly passionate about. Which is why he is the Host of the Open Drive podcast, which focuses on his upbringing and overcoming childhood trauma. 
Underpinning everything he does is a desire to increase mental well-being through shared stories, safe communities, and increased time to focus on self-care. He is so passionate about mental health that he is completing a Bachelor of Psychology.  Nick was a finalist of the AIOP Administrative of Excellence Award 2023 partnering with Drake International. 

Helen Monument is a Coach, Trainer, Mentor, Writer and Conference Speaker.  Helen is very proud to be the Chair of the The World Administrators Alliance, representing Administrative Associations, Networks and Admins professionals across the globe. This voluntary position gives me the opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ to the profession that has opened so many doors to me. The aim of the WA-Alliance is to Guide, Develop, Influence and Elevate the Administrative Profession. Helen holds the Professional Certificate of Management from the British Open University Business School and the Diploma Academic Counsellor and Coach from the Academy for Counselling and Coaching in The Hague.
